How Energy Healing in a Natural Space works

Because Mairela is right in the midst of nature, a world apart from the modern 9-5,  the first thing that happens to guests is that they can take off their ‘public mask’ as they don’t have work or family problems to deal with. In fact just by booking to come here they have already taken an important step on their healing journey by making and taking time for themselves. It’s like an announcement to the Universe that they have value and that they are worth it.

Once the mask has been placed to the side for the week then the parts that have been quashed for so long can start to come to the surface, they start to come into conscious awareness. The reason these parts got covered by the mask in the first place was because they were deemed unacceptable, sometimes by influential figures in our lives and sometimes by ourselves believing that we had to conform in some way to gain approval or love. The special quality of the energy at Mairela surrounds guests in a soft loving way and this is what I refer to as the natural healing space. Mairela’s closeness to nature and special serenity are what gives it that safe loving feeling that holds guests in a place that they can trust and feel secure enough to reveal themselves, knowing that they will not be judged. Allowing yourself to be who you are for a week is another important step in the healing journey, by allowing whatever comes to just be there,  it is exposed to the light and from that place in the light it can be released, it can be let go of and surrendered. It is when we fight parts of ourselves, labelling them ‘bad’ or ‘wrong’ that we strengthen our attachment to them and it is by accepting them for what they are and just letting them be there that we can release them.

If you take a look around in nature there are no judgements about ‘how things should be’ the tree grows it branches in many different ways and all of them are just perfect. You’ll never find a tree asking ‘Does my trunk look big in this?’ Being surrounded by the spirit of so many trees has a profound effect via harmonic resonance, a similar effect of one tuning fork’s vibration causing another to vibrate at the same frequency. The founder of Energy Healing Barbara Brennan states in her book 'Light Emerging' that "The trees in a pine forest pulsate at a rate very similar to a human's auric field. Sitting in such a forest will recharge your field when you need it." Barbara also mentions that "calm lakes have a great soothing effect on us by relaxing the tension or hyperincoherent pulsations in our field caused by the stress of modern living."  Living here by my lake in the middle of vast pine forests I couldn’t agree more!

Over the other side of the lake is an old Iron Age fort that was used for special ceremonies. I believe that this was because the site is perfectly placed energetically as well as physically. A Feng shui student told me that Mairela had been built in a very auspicious place according to their principals and that it was little wonder to him that the energy felt so good here.

As you can imagine the energy that you are standing in just by being here is wonderful in its own right and this makes it the perfect place to have daily sessions which are made up of healings or meditation or lifestyle advice or energy management (chi kung). Massage and reflexology are also available in addition. Everyone is unique and therefore each healing week is also unique and flows to suit the highest purpose of every moment.

The types of healing used include:

Inner Child Healing, Past Life Regression, Sound Healing, Angelic or Celestial Healing, Relational Healing and Chakra Balancing.

Inner Child healing is particularly helpful for revisiting those places in our childhood when we hid parts of ourselves that we felt were stopping us from getting unconditional love from our carers. The healing allows us to gently reparenting ourselves, we become the carer of our inner child and we can allow them all the freedom that they need. The inner child is an important aspect of our self because it provides the wonder in life and the creative force within us.

Sound healing is a powerful tool for releasing blockages as it goes around the limited convention of words and cuts right into the particular frequency of the energy in question. Instead of expressing through the mind at an intellectual level the body can directly communicate through sound.

Past life regression allows us to experience fully certain situations we have already been in and thereby fully remember the experiential memories that will give us greater understanding and deeper compassion for all of creation. These situations and experiences are reflected in out present day life patterns.

Relational healing is a far reaching healing, it gently takes you to a time and place or person that has shaped a belief system that you hold about the world and yourself (i.e. the relationship you have with it) and allows you to examine the validity of that belief within your current moment in life. We often find that old habitual beliefs have become so buried in our programming that we are no longer aware that we hold them and yet they are shaping our very lives. Once we have awareness of them we can make different choices if we wish and release the old patterns.

Angelic healing is an infusion of pure love which looks directly past all the drama of our lives and straight to the perfection of everything. The more time we spend in this state of perfection and knowing, the easier it is to transcend everyday negativity.

Chakra balancing does what it says on the box! Allowing the energy to flow freely and in balance through the chakras and thereby the energy system, will bring about healing and show us the places where we have blockages. Once we know that we have these blockages we can do something about them rather than allowing them to shape our lives without us being consciously knowing what we are creating.
