Dave Stuart Foundation weeks and courses
Foundation Horsemanship Courses with David Stuart
Places are still available for Foundation Horsemanship Courses with David Stuart this year. The courses are mainly about giving course participants more depth and scope to their overall horsemanship on the ground and in the saddle. These courses aim to incorporate many elements of horsemanship, from how to act around your horse, gaining a deeper knowledge of horse behaviour, young horse handling where applicable, to lateral work, jumping, cow working and trailer loading.
Students will learn how to develop better weight distribution and impulsion, they'll also learn how to improve their horse’s level of engagement and athleticism through a variety of different exercises leading to the self carriage of the horse.
The content varies from course to course and is dependent on the horses and people that turn up. Whichever path the course takes, it is always interesting, exciting and will move your horsemanship along in leaps and bounds. Courses vary from 1 - 3 days and are held at various locations around the country.
Foundation Horsemanship Weeks
Foundation Horsemanship Weeks came about from individuals wanting to come and spend a week or more improving their own horsemanship. From those that have been on these weeks the feedback has been very positive and the improvement has been good to see with many coming back at later dates for repeat weeks.
Every week is different depending on the horses and the individuals. This is a great chance to further your horsemanship in so many ways including students having the chance to watch the starting and the development of the young horses that David has in for a 28 day period. Each day includes approximately an hour’s coaching and the opportunity to ride out with David when applicable.
The foundation weeks are based near All Stretton in Shropshire. People can come for 1 day up to 1 month, each persons needs can be catered for.
