The beautiful, the desirable and the practical

When you are buying for things for babies they often seem to fall into one of the categories mentioned above and you probably automatically compute which. They could perhaps alternatively be described as the things that you would love to have because they are gorgeous luxuries, things which are both lovely and useful and those which are very practical and you know that you will use them constantly.

Rosy Cheek Cosy have managed to produce appealing creations, hand made with care and attention to detail using superb quality raw materials with a focus on the environment. Can you ask for more? Founder Tessa has a great interest in eco living and caring for our environment, and this has led naturally to her bamboo and organic cotton collection.

The fabrics used are certified lead free by Intertek, and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified bamboo. So the beautiful, well in my opinion both the patchwork nursery rugs and mini bunting come into this category and they can be coordinated too. Yes you can buy cheaper but probably not as durable and well made. The rugs are backed with hessian and are pretty in patchwork, perfect for the nursery.

Mini bunting is a charming addition to any toddler's room or baby nursery. Colourful bunting has always been a traditional decoration for beach holidays and celebrations and you can't help feeling uplifted when you see it. These pretty bunting flags add wonderful colour and fun to any nursery. Children and babies will adore the colourful flags flying above or draped along the wall.

When thinking of the desirable it had to be the gorgeous organic cotton/bamboo blankets and cheeky panda comforters. Very desirable but useful too, I am in love with the comforters and I think lots of babies would be too. Panda is a lovely newborn gift his silky, satin ears are easy to find and hold onto and he is soft and snugly to stroke. He is perfect for attaching to a pushchair too. Made from downy soft cream bamboo fleece on the back and 100% Organic Cotton on the front a little eco warrior in fact! Panda also has the advantage of being perfectly flat so he is easy to fold and tuck into your pocket or bag for days out.

Last but by no means least the practical. Bamboo wash cloths for washing or wiping delicate skin downy soft and gentle and more eco friendly than disposable wipes.
