Dealing with Overwhelm using EFT
Do you procrastinate?
When you come across something new that you need to do, such as writing an article to promote your business, do you immediately feel overwhelmed? Or do you just feel overwhelmed in general about your life?
Overwhelm is a very common feeling that people experience. With the current speed at which changes are occurring in the modern world we are continually bombarded with new innovations, new technologies, almost on a daily basis. It is no wonder that we find ourselves shutting down, procrastinating (please note procrastination may have other causes and therefore require more tapping than this to clear it) and feeling totally overwhelmed.
EFT can be a powerful tool when it comes to dealing with the feeling of overwhelm. So, the next time you feel overwhelm coming on, take it as a signal to do EFT. Below is a basic EFT tapping script to help you gain control over your emotional state.
Tapping Chart
EFT Set Up Phrases
Tap with gentle percussion on the karate chop point. Ideally say the words out aloud emphatically. You can change the words if more appropriate ones pop into your mind. These words are only given as a guide:-
Karate Chop Point :"Even though I feel so overwhelmed I don't know where to start, I completely, I totally, accept I feel this way and I want to accept me anyway."
Karate Chop Point: "So even though it's so overwhelming, I completely, I totally, accept that I feel this and I want to accept me and how I feel, anyway."
Karate Chop Point: "So even though I feel so overwhelmed I don't know where to start, there's just so much, I completely, I totally, accept that I feel this way and I want to accept me, anyway."
EFT Tapping Sequence
Eyebrow Point: "This overwhelming feeling"
Side of the Eye Point: "I feel so overwhelmed"
Under the Eye Point: "I just feel so overwhelmed"
Under the Nose Point: "I don't know where to start"
Chin Point: "There is just so much"
Collar Bone Point: "I feel so overwhelmed by all of this"
Under the Arm Point: "This overwhelming feeling"
Repeat the, EFT Set Up Phrases and EFT Tapping Sequence as many times as you need until you feel or sense a significant reduction in any sense of overwhelm you may have, then switch to the, Transition to PositiveTapping Sequence, below.
Transition to Positive Tapping Sequence
Karate Chop Point: "Even though there may still be some of this overwhelming feeling left, what if it is OK now, for me to release this? What if it is? What if I can?"
Karate Chop Point: "So even though there may still be some of this left, what if it is ok to let that go"
Karate Chop Point: "So even though I might still have some of this overwhelming feeling left, what if I can choose to think more clearly now"
Eyebrow Point: "Any remaining feeling of overwhelm, what if it is OK now to let that go?"
Side of the Eye Point: "What if it is? What if I can?"
Under the Eye Point: "And what if I might just be pleasantly surprised at how much
better, I can begin to feel"
UndertheNosePoint: "Because, maybe I can choose to think more clearly."
Chin Point: "What if I can choose to think more clearly"
Collar Bone Point: " I know how to think clearly, what if I can just choose to think clearly, now"
Under the Arm Point: " I can think clearly, I know how to do that, what if I can choose to do that now."

Question: Do I have to do positive tapping in order for EFT to work?
Answer: The simple answer is no. EFT can work even if you focus solely on tapping on "the problem". When EFT was originally developed this was how it was done. It gained excellent results.
