WEN is a unique, vital and innovative campaigning organisation, which represents women and campaigns on issues, which link women, environment and health. Formed in 1988, it is a registered charity and membership organisation that depends on its members, donations and limited grant support for survival. WEN has achieved much over the years. WEN has a record of being the first to raise awareness on issues and of breaking taboos. We take up issues that other environmental groups don't or won't, especially those concerning women's health and reproductive systems. We have been asked to speak at many national and international conferences and are invited to respond formally to government policy and proposed legislation. Central to WEN's approach is the belief that women have the right to information to enable them to make fair choices. We also believe a precautionary approach is healthiest for people and the planet.

Progressio is an international development organisation working for justice and the eradication of poverty. The environment is being harmed on an unprecedented scale, as natural resources are exploited in unsustainable ways to fuel the demands of our industrialised world. Massive land use changes have taken place in the 20th century. Extensive areas of wildflower meadows, fens and wetlands in river valleys have been drained and converted for intensive agricultural use. Many semi-natural ancient woodlands have been destroyed and converted to agriculture or intensive forestry. New factories, housing estates and airports have also eaten away wildlife habitats such as heath, wetland and species-rich grassland. The emphasis of our work is to encourage good practice among suppliers, land managers and plant specifiers involved in large-scale habitat creation and restoration projects in the countryside.

ReZolve was formed in 1997 as Cornwall's Waste Working Group. Its aim was to debate the waste management issues that were important in Cornwall at the time and, to this end, the Group developed a strategy for tackling waste in the county. In the intervening years the membership of CWWG expanded adding a wider spectrum of opinions so that the membership ranges from Friends of The Earth and Cornwall Wildlife Trust to landfill operators and local authorities.

Each year, we organise two nationally recognised events: National Walk to School Week in May and International Walk to School Month in October.
