CPPD points: 5
Duration: 1 day, 10am – 4pm
Description: Sound has been used for centuries as a tool for healing and transformation. The affects of sound healing are extremely beneficial and a compliment to any form of holistic practice. Sound Healing is becoming an increasingly popular way of ‘re-tuning’ the mind, body and spirit. Sound or ‘sympathetic resonance’ is used to correct any imbalances on all levels of being.
Sound Healing is also used in the same way to re-balance the chakras and energy systems of the body, using ancient and modern instruments such as singing bowls (crystal and Tibetan/Himalayan), tingshas, voice, tuning forks, gong, mantra, monochord and didgeridoo.
Did you know sound healing can:
*induce a state of deep meditation
*stimulate new neural pathways between the right and left hemispheres of the brain
*improve the ability to learn, intuition, memory, creativity, focus and concentration
*aid personal growth and self awareness
*calm the mind
*reduce stress and tension
*improve mental and emotional health
What will I learn? This Journey into Sound Healing Workshop will cover the theory of sound healing, basic techniques and how to use sound at home to promote health and wellbeing. It will also provide students with the opportunity to participate in and learn ‘hands on’ techniques for the use of sound tools such as their voice, singing bowls, tingshas, drums and tuning forks.
