The London Green Funeral Exhibition
Saturday 28th April
The day is aimed at those familiar with and new to green funerals; all those interested in green consuming; those wanting to know more about funerals generally.
The day includes a keynote speech by Julia Hailes, author of The New Green Consumer Guide (the bible to green buying).
The NDC also pioneered the concept of natural burial grounds, which is basically 'plant a tree and not a headstone'. Natural burial grounds benefit society, as when the burial ground is full it is likely to become a wood or leisure area for the local community. Part of the NDC is the Association of Natural Burial Grounds and since 1991 over 200 natural burial grounds have been inspired by the Natural Death Centres ideology and advice. We continue to influence government departments and professional practitioners to bring about radical social and environmental change.
It is being organised by The Natural Death Centre http://www.naturaldeath.org.uk
Social entrepreneurial charity questioning societies attitude to ecological body disposal and leads the UK natural death movement as a change agent.
We are passionate about providing a radical edge, catalytic leadership to the UK natural death movement to promote social change.
