09/04/2008
Time to relax at Amitayus
If you are feeling a little frazzled and desperate for some ‘me’ time, then you might want to visit Atherstone’s latest treatment venue Amitayus Wellbeing which opens its doors on the 26th April 2008.
The new wellbeing centre promises to be unlike any other, with a range of complementary therapies, a reading room and a garden of ‘peace & refection’ which is available exclusively to Amitayus Wellbeing’s clients.
You can choose from a range of treatments including Acupuncture, Aromatherapy, Bowen Technique, Reflexology, Kineseology and Hypnotherapy. With specialisms in pain management, pregnancy, and therapeutic massage for cancer care, Amitayus Wellbeing is dedicated to providing complementary therapy treatments that work effectively alongside conventional medicine.
Once you have had a treatment there is the opportunity to sit calmly in the beautiful walled garden at the rear of the property. Or browse through the wide range of health care products available in the reception area. From organic, vegetarian, skin care products to vitamins and minerals, there is something for everyone.
‘Amitayus Wellbeing is about bringing like-minded complementary therapists together to create a healing space where the public can come along, safe in the knowledge that they are receiving expert care and advice,’ says Clinic Manager Dawn Hart.
In addition to three spacious treatment rooms, Amitayus Wellbeing also has a training room, which is used for a range of group activities from meditation to anxiety management classes and training courses in Reiki, and Chinese Medicine.
Amitayus Wellbeing is also part of the Atherstone Book Town project, which was launched in 2005. The town boasts three second-hand bookshops and Amitayus Wellbeing is a welcome addition as it specialises in books on the body, mind and spirit. ‘We are delighted to support the Atherstone Book Town and have been made really welcome by the other booksellers in the town. We are hoping over time to not only sell health and wellbeing books but also have readings by authors,’ reveals Dawn.
There will be a grand opening on Saturday 26th April from 10am until 3pm, where you can sample taster sessions in Reflexology, Tuina, Reiki and Bowen Technique. There will also be free meditation lessons throughout the course of the day.
