CSV Make a Difference Day
01/08/2008
What could you do on 25 October 2008?
A charity, Community Service Volunteers, wants communities to make a difference in their local areas through a day of action.
They run the annual campaign, CSV Make a Difference Day, which involves up to 125,000 people making a difference across the UK.
What is CSV Make a Difference Day?
CSV Make a Difference Day is the UK's biggest day of 'hands-on' volunteering, the only campaign that asks people to give time, not money.
You decide how to take part by organising an activity. Then just register it with the team, and they’ll send you T shirts, balloons, stickers, certificates and posters!
Example activities:
-
Convert a disused local area into a green space
-
Bake some brownies for a lonely neighbour
-
Knit scarves and beanies for local homeless people
-
Organise a football/ kabaddi/ netball tournament for local young people

It's free and easy to get involved, and we help you to make it happen - what's stopping you joining in?
When is it?
CSV Make a Difference Day takes place on the last Saturday in October each year.
This year it falls on 25 October 2008 but activities can take place one week either side. This means that you can organise or go along to an activity in your area any time from 18 October - 2 November 2008.
