Ghana Homeopathy Project - Update
26/09/2008
NaturalMatters.net Note - you can find your local homeopath in the Homeopathy Directory
The Ghana Homeopathy Project has obtained independent charity status and we are now registered in the UK as Homeopathy in Africa charity number 1125981, of which The Ghana Homeopathy Project is a part (you can see that we plan to go places!!).
The Project in Ghana continues to go from strenght to strength. As well as Accra and the surrounding areas, a thriving homeopathic practice with new and highly motivated students/apprentices is flourishing in Mafi Seva and surrounding villages of Volta Region; we have also recently established links with another community in Kumasi at the invitation of a local student of homeopathy.
This project certainly seems to have an energy of its own and all we need to do is follow it!! It feels very exciting and inspirational to be part of this amazing experience. Please take a look at some of our treated cases on our website - http://www.ghanahomeopathy.org We will shortly have our own website now that we have charity status and we can put more time to other tasks.
And many tasks we have. Often people email or say to me "let me know how we can help the project". Well, there are many ways that people can help, apart from donations and standing orders.
Sadly, we had a laptop stolen recently in Accra, so we are looking for a donation of a used machine to replace it. If you are upgrading or know someone who can donate a laptop we would be so grateful. One relies so much on equipment like this, and yet we don't have the resources to buy another one.
Another area where we need urgent help is in transportation. We have recently invested in renting a flat in Accra for our volunteers to stay, so we are now slowly furnishing it. Flats in Ghana come unfurnished. We do have several items already, sourced locally, but could have a lot more if we could transport them to Ghana. If you feel that you are able to help in this area or have connections, or you can make a suggestion, we would love to hear from you. I still have not given up on the idea of a London taxi for Ghana; I believe that if we continue focusing on it the Universe will provide. It would be a fantastic way of getting around Accra and beyond; we could have a local business advertising on it, it is big enough to do consultations in the back of it in remote areas, it would put the Ghana Homeopathy Project 'on the map' in Ghana. For this one, you can help by using the Law of Attraction - just visualise a London taxi already in Accra. Thanks for reading this, and thanks for all your support, it means a lot to us.
With love and respect
