Schumacher College in Devon would like to announce two exciting events they are holding this Spring and Summer.

Springtime in Gaia’s Kitchen

Is an event being held on the 30th April until May 4, 2012. With Rachel Lambert, Wendy Cook and Julia Ponsonby.

Schumacher College is internationally renowned for the tasty organic food grown in its gardens and cooked in its kitchen. This Spring the College offers you the opportunity to join three celebrated food experts on a course that will teach you how to prepare food that is tasty, creative and seasonal.

Join Julia Ponsonby, winner of the Gourmand World Cookbook Award for best vegetarian cookbook, along with Rachel Lambert and Wendy Cook - for a course that will teach you how to liven up unglamorous winter vegetables and prepare food that has been gathered from nearby fields and hedges.  Whether you are a novice or a more experienced cook this course is the perfect opportunity to learn new culinary techniques and approaches taste new recipes, learn new techniques and meet other food lovers from near and far.

 The fee is £550 - All course fees include accommodation, food, field trips and all teaching sessions.

Summer Retreat

On June 11th until the 15th 2012. Whether you have been before or it’s your first time, coming to Schumacher College on a Retreat provides an affordable way of enjoying a range of College activities and facilities.

Join us for long summer days, croquet on the lawn, vegetable gardens bursting into life, warm evenings chatting over a drink with friends old and new.  Explore the lively nearby town of Totnes, or the woodlands and meadows that surround the College.

Read in our extensive and ever-growing library, enjoy the superb vegetarian cooking, sample Dartington Hall’s varied cultural programme, and perhaps most importantly exchanging ideas and connections with others at the College.
