'Wagg Wins Metro Bank’s ‘Golden Bone Bowl’ ' news from Wagg Foods makers of Harringtons Natural Pet Foods.

Dog-friendly Metro Bank has awarded Wagg Foods with a ‘Golden Bone Bowl’ for its Wagg Low Fat Treats. Vernon W Hill II, President and Co-founder of Metro Bank and his dog, Yorkshire Terrier, Sir Duffield or Duffy for short, presented the prize to Wagg Foods’ Linda Mitchell and her Irish Setter, Tilly at an awards ceremony, held yesterday, in the Bank’s Southampton Row, Central London Branch.

Metro Bank’s customers were asked to vote for which of three UK made dog treats their dog preferred. Over 3000 customers voted and Wagg Low Fat Treats won. They will now, alongside bowls of fresh water, be available free in each Metro Bank branch for visiting dogs with their owners. These delicious, reduced fat meaty treats come with turkey and rice and are only 4% fat. The treats are enriched with vitamins and minerals and have no artificial colours or flavours. Dogs simply relish them.

Linda Mitchell says: “Tilly and I were thrilled to receive this accolade on behalf of Wagg – we certainly felt like VIPs for a day and want to thank everyone who voted. The Bank’s president confirmed that his Yorkshire Terrier, Duffy, the Chief Canine Officer for Metro Bank has long been a fan of Wagg Treats and was thrilled that his customers also agreed!”

Also in attendance were representatives from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and the Kennel Club. Metro Bank refunds new and existing customers when they rehome a dog or a cat from Battersea. Joining them were 12 regional winners of dog hampers with their dogs, who were picked from customers who had voted. All had a wagging good time!
